Mattia is a Biologist who works on arthropods vectors and pathogens they transmit at IZSLER (Territorial Office Reggio Emilia)
Mattia Calzolari (born on 10/4/1975) graduated in Biology at the University of Parma (2000). Since 2008, he
worked at the IZSLER, where he mainly deals with entomological surveillance of arthropod transmitted pathogens (as West Nile virus, Toscana virus and Leishmania).
The main research interest of Mattia is Medical and Veterinary Entomology, with particular emphasis on mosquito taxonomy, mosquito-borne and sand fly-borne diseases of viral and protozoan origin.
